WORBY Tribute to Art History and Elementarism
Print Profile(3)

Description
This project is designed to be used with 1 AMS unit and 1 external spool on a dual nozzle printer like the X2D, H2D, or H2C.
Grey filament not needed for the first art piece as the grey triangles use Bambu studios new Mixed filament system. There is notes at the bottom about creating mixed filaments in the software! Once BambuLabs fixes not being able to upload 3MF with mixed filaments I will update the profile.
Dual nozzles is STRONGLY suggested.
In the early 1920’s Piet Mondrian brought forward the Neoplasticism art movement
In the late 1920’s and 1930’s artist Theo Van Doesburg took this theory and revolutionized it into Elementarism
In 2026 Scott Yu-Jan would take his love for art and transform a seemingly simple concept into an amazing use of 3D printing to blend art and function
Today you can add a bit of Elementarism to your WORBY board with these thoughtfully reimagined art pieces.

Wall Organizer with Red, Blue, and Yellow also known as “WORBY” is a new wall front door entry organization system designed by Scott Yu-Jan, taking the idea of Neoplasticism and refining it for 3D printing and organization.
What is Elementarism and what is its relationship to Neoplasticism?
Neoplasticism was questioned by Piet Mondrian’s friend and notable ally in the Neoplasticism art movements development, Theo Van Doesburg. In the 1920-1930s Theo risked his friendship with Piet to question the principles of Neoplasticism and move beyond the confines of strict vertical and horizontal lines and shapes and introduces the idea of diagonal lines and later abstract shapes inside of his paintings.

Counter Composition V was painted in 1924, and is known as one of Theo’s signature works it implements the ideas of a new art movement “Elementarism” and introduces a new colours into the system.
“The wall is your canvas and the possibilities are endless. Creativity only multiplies when it's shared.”
Scott mentions the positive effect art has on people and the how quickly we can move to new styles as we share new ideas.
For this project I wanted to do more than simply make another bin or tray for the WORBY system, I wanted to add to the project in a unique artistic way as Theo did. So for this art piece I decided to recreate the Counter Composition V and adapt it do be added to your WORBY display. This 3x3 tile can be added to your board or in its own 3x3 grid to bring this art piece to life in your home

Late into Theo’s life he experimented with adding abstract shapes to his paintings with one of his most known being Arithmetic Composition, which blends itself very well to the WORBY idea; function on top of form. For this project I wanted to recreate Arithmetic Composition with a touch of what makes WORBY so amazing. This 2x2 art piece can work well by itself on your wall or as apart of your WORBY board. I added in some removable containers to the two largest diamonds. Simple yet refined.
Finally, enhance your WORBY board while showing your love for BambuLab by adding what id like to name Composition Bambu to your board! Whether BambuLab knows it or not their logo fits the ideas and relationships mentioned in both Neoplasticism and in Elementarism with bold lines, angles, and can easily be modified to use RBY colouring

I hope that you enjoy this project, or that you have learned a little bit more about the history of Neoplasticism and how it can be shaped in both art and in 3D printing, with so many ways to improve and add on to this system I'm so excited to see what else is made and added to this system by others.
I have a collection of WORBY tiles posted, including sunglasses holders, shelves, hooks, note holders, and more to come all that you can find HERE

Boost Me (for free)
this project has been so amazing to learn more about art history and 3d printing challenges, like the new color mixing in bambu suite. A boost goes a long way in helping me continue to learn!
VERY IMPORTANT NOTES
grey filament is not needed however makerworld wont allow an 3mf with mixed filaments yet, so you need to CREATE the filament. on the left side of bambu studio newest version create a new mixed filament with material 1 being white and material 2 being black. 33% white , 67% black. Recolor the green triangles with this new mixed filament!
ENSURE that the top layer is white in slicing!
I WILL UPDATE 3MF WHEN MAKERWORLD ALLOWS THIS FEATURE IN 3MF !
