Multiboard Hanger Locking French Cleat for Magnets

MultiBuild Hanger with Locking Cleat for Sanja 3d P2S AMS Flipper Riser v6 Remix with Magnet Snaps

I liked the idea of adding a Multibuild/Multiboard Grid to the side of my printer, but didn't want to use a full length setup, as it would get in the way of the build plate holder.  I envisioned the fact that as I lifted tools off of the various tool holders that maybe the board would just lift out of the French Cleat on the side.  I had already discovered these tool holders with a locking French Cleat, so I worked to merge the two into a single model, while maintaining compatibility with both the very well made AMS Flipper Riser V6 for P2S, and the MultiBuild ecosystem.  Did the whole thing in Bambu Studio, a great way to learn some of the more advanced 3d modeling features available in such powerful software!

This version is thicker than my other remix because it accommodates these Multiboard 25x5 Magnetic Snaps!  These snaps are thicker than the 6.25mm MultiBoard standard, but don't quite reach the 12.5mm thickness either, so rather than remix the magnets I chose to remix the locking French cleat I already remixed.  Remixception, if you will.  These snaps are great at reducing wobbling of the MultiBoard, especially when laden with tools.  I placed these snaps 1 hole in from the edges so they would be hidden away from view and are also functional parts that can have various tool holders inserted into their sockets.  Also, placing the magnetic snaps closer to the edges does not work so well, at least on the P2S, due to the curved edges.  So to get a good magnetic grip I recommend copying my setup in the example picture.

The print profile is set up to print a pair of what I'm calling a "MultiBuild Hanger with Locking Cleat for Sanja 3d P2S AMS Flipper Riser v6 Remix with Magnetic Snaps" along with 4 DS Part B snaps, and the two locking pieces for the French Cleat.  Everything you need on one plate, except for the Multibuild Grids, which can be obtained here: (Left) and (Right) as well as these magnetic snaps.  In my example photos I'm using a left and right 7x7 Horizontal Strip.  You'll also need Dual Offset Snaps to attach both the left and right panels together.  

Assembly Instructions:

Simply print with recommended settings for MultiBuild (0.2mm Layer Height, 15% Infill, 3 Walls, No Supports)

Attach your grids to each other and to the adapters to make a solid panel.

Print, build, and add your magnetic snaps.

Hook the French Cleats into the side of Sanja 3d's AMS Flipper Riser v6 (either side).

Slide the locking pieces into the appropriate holes, with the pointed part towards the glass to secure the cleats in place.

Now you have a place to keep your most frequently used tools, and your workbench can stay clutter free!
