Description

Chain Lynks is a modular fidget system built around a clever two‑orientation connection: Loop Mode for creating a continuous ring or flexible chain, and Stack Mode for free‑pivoting motion inspired by classic snake toys. Each Lynk features redesigned pins that stay flush while providing controlled rotation and a satisfying tactile click‑resistance feel.

The default build includes 8 Lynks (4 in one color, 4 in another for AMS/non‑AMS color profiles). Both AMS and non‑AMS versions include extra Lynks plates so you can expand your build or mix colors easily.

If you want additional Lynks, you can print the extra Lynks plate included in each profile. AMS profiles include 2 extra Lynks + pins, while non‑AMS profile include 1 extra Lynk + pins so you can print it twice in different colors.

I’m considering creating a dedicated “extra Lynks only” profile as well — would that be helpful?

Also available in a compact version: Chain Lynks Nano.

Assembly Callout

“Snap each Lynk together firmly — the controlled rotation and click‑resistance are intentional for long‑term strength and satisfying motion.”

Note: The model is designed to be tight and snug at first for durability and precision. Over time, it loosens up naturally with use. If your pen doesn’t seat immediately, try rotating it 90° and try again — it’s reversible and designed for a perfect fit either way.

Designer Note

The redesigned pins were engineered to stop rotation cleanly in both directions while staying flush with the surface. This creates a more predictable, durable, and tactile feel whether you’re looping, stacking, or pivoting the chain.
