Early Life and Education

Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was born on May 28, 1883, in Bhagur, Maharashtra, into a Marathi Chitpavan Brahmin family. He was deeply influenced by the spirit of resistance against British colonialism from a young age. Savarkar pursued law studies in London, where he became involved with revolutionary activities and organizations like India House and the Free India Society.
