Description

Warning: Thorough post-processing is essential! If you don't clean, sand and break-in the parts properly, the puzzle will be very stiff and hard to turn.

This is a fully 3D-printable twisty puzzle of 2x2x3 cube. The model is engineered to be assembled completely without screws. No MMU/AMS is required for printing.

Performance Notes:

  • Turning: The puzzle turns very smoothly once properly assembled and broken in.
  • Tolerances: It does not corner-cut.

Assembly & Post-Processing Tips:

  • Cleaning & Sanding: After removing supports, make sure to lightly sand any surfaces where supports were attached to achieve flush joints.
  • Mechanism & Breaking-in: After sanding, take the parts that will slide against each other and manually run them back and forth several times. Do this for every piece until you feel the friction reduce and they move more easily.
  • Assembly & Lubrication: Start assembling the model. Just before inserting the final pieces, apply lubricant to the cube's internal mechanism. Once the cube is fully assembled, perform several turns on every side to distribute the lube evenly and ensure a smooth turning experience.
  • Tiling: The tiles arent perfectly centered, so if it wont fit keep turning the tile, till it fits.

Assembly instructions:

  • Step 1: Break-in every pieces and core

  • Step 2: Attach to the core center pieces

  • Step 3: Put on the center pieces corner pieces

  • Step 4: Attach the stake to the core and connect two halves of cube

  • Step 5: Break-in top and bottom faces
