Description

Saluting Soldier (Male) - Memorial Plaque

*** For use with the Nested Slide Lock Stake system ***

This plaque is part of my “Memorial Plaque” collection and is a respectful and unique way to decorate a grave or otherwise honor a loved one. Whether you hope to decorate a gravesite for Memorial Day or for any other special occasion, these plaques are perfect for the occasion.

The plaque has an inset slot in the back that allows it to easily slide onto one of my Nested Slide Lock Stakes that I designed specifically for this purpose.  The stakes can be nested securely on top of each other so that either another plaque can be added, or so that this plaque stands taller.

Included Build Plates

Layered Printing (Fastest AMS Option)

This plate will contain the model that has been painted in the Slicer to switch colors at different layers only.  This way, you only have one nozzle change per each color for the entire print.  Since the model components have different layer heights, it helps them stand out.

When you look at the model from the side view, you will see the layered colors.  However, since this is a plaque that is viewed from the front, it is hard to tell a difference.

This is the fastest method of printing the plaque.

Layered with Pauses (No AMS Required)

This plate will contain the model that has been painted at the layers similar to the other plate before it.  However, the slicer has been set to pause when it reaches a layer that needs a color change.  At that time you swap the filament with the new color and continue with your print.

Regular Painting (AMS Required)

This build plate has a model that has been painted by area bound by edges in the model.  This leads a a pretty consistent base color with just the area needing color being printed with that filament.  While it is still relatively fast, it is not as fast as the layered print method.

An AMS is required for this method.
