Tap and Die for Pottery

I made this tap and die set for pottery/ceramics. It is 2" in diameter with a TPI of 4. It is not scaled up to account for clay shrinkage so final diameter will be different depending on clay properties. 

The top of the tap is used for setting the hole diameter before you cut the threads. The setup tool is for setting the diameter of the cylinder before you cut the threads with the die. I find this works well with clay that is just before leather hard. You want to be able to cut the threads without tearing the clay. Spraying a little WD-40 on the tap and die make it easier to cut the threads. If the clay is still rather wet you can use corn starch instead. 

Print settings are pretty standard without support. Using adaptive layers helps print the threads and cuts down on print time.
