Assembly instructions:

  1. screw the thumbscrew through the threads all the way in
  2. align the hole on the bottom of the reed plate against the ball on the screw. Press the on the plate (might require some force) until the ball snaps in
  3. turn the screw to make sure all parts move

Customization:

Make the following measurement and enter them into the customizer:

  1. Front diameter: the outside diameter of the mouthpiece, measured at the point where the ligature begins.
  2. Front height: The vertical distance from the top surface of the mouthpiece to the bottom surface including the reed, at the same location as the front diameter.
  3. Back diameter: the outside diameter of the mouthpiece, measured about 15mm behind the front diameter. If you choose to customize the ligature length, move back your customized length from the front diameter.
  4. Back height: Front height: The vertical distance from the top surface of the mouthpiece to the bottom surface including the reed, at the same location as the back diameter.
  5. Reed width: the width of the reed at the end of the vamp

These parameters will ensure the ligature fits your mouthpiece. You can also vary the following secondary parameters:

  1. Wall thickness: the thickness of the ring that goes around the mouthpiece
  2. Screw rad: the size of the screw and screw hole
  3. Lig length: the length of the ligature.
  4. Small knob: set to true to make the screw smaller. Recommended for sopranos
