PETG gives the flames a slightly translucent glow under light and holds up better to handling — the PLA interface layer peels clean off the PETG body without scarring.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>If you have AMS:</strong> Load yellow, orange, red, plus gray for the goggle frame and dark blue/gray for the overalls. The hair-flames, fist-flame, and base flame trail all benefit from a yellow-to-red gradient.</p><p><strong>If you&#39;re running single-color + paint:</strong> Print in yellow PLA and hand-paint the flames, overalls, and goggle frame. The flame geometry has deep, defined channels that take acrylic brush work very well — no priming needed on Matte PLA. Red over yellow gives a great natural gradient effect where the red thins on the flame tips.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><i>Scales uniformly. 130mm is the recommended minimum to preserve flame tip detail — scale up freely for shelf-centerpiece size.</i></p><h3>💡 Tips &amp; Tricks</h3><ul><li><strong>Orient him standing</strong> — the base is designed to be the print surface, and the flame trail self-supports cleanly that way</li><li><strong>Tree Slim is the right call</strong> — organic supports weave into the flame gaps without fusing to the detail</li><li><strong>PETG flame trick:</strong> if printing in PETG with any translucent or tinted filament, put an LED tea light behind him on the shelf and the flames glow</li><li><strong>Matte filament</strong> brings out the sculpted flame texture far better than glossy — glossy reflections fight with the flame geometry</li><li><strong>Display pairing:</strong> Minion Torch + The Thing Minion = instant half-FF display. Add Dr. DooMinion for the full cosmic-stakes vibe</li></ul>
