JVC LP20878-001 Remote Replacement Battery Cover

This is a replacement Battery Cover for the JVC LP20878-001 remote, commonly used with the JVC HR-VP618U VCR and other compatible models. If your original battery door is cracked, loose, or missing, this 3D-printable replacement restores the fit and function of the remote so it can be used normally again.

Designed to match the original latch geometry for a secure snap-fit and proper alignment.

Print Notes

• Filament: PLA works fine (but I recommend a higher temp so the layers bond better); however, I strongly recommend PETG offers added flexibility and durability for the snap clip.
• Orientation: Print on its side so the layer lines run across the latch, giving the clip maximum strength and preventing it from snapping.
• Supports: Required to properly print the overhangs of the latch and rails.
• Infill: 20–40% is sufficient; higher infill can make the latch more robust.
• Post-processing: If the clip fits too tightly, lightly sand the latch area—avoid removing too much material from the snap-fit edges.
