Description

Description

Turn your old, dead, or retired processors into a high-tech fashion statement! This minimalist and rugged keychain frame is designed to securely hold a real CPU, letting you carry a piece of computing history wherever you go.

Whether you are a PC enthusiast, a hardware collector, or just want a unique accessory for your backpack, the CoreKey is the perfect DIY project.

Key Features:

  • Hardware-Locked Security: Unlike glued versions, this uses screws and inserts for a professional, "industrial" look and a rock-solid hold.
  • Double-Sided Visibility: Perfectly frames both the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) and the beautiful gold contact pads/SMD components on the back.
  • Universal Fit: Designed for standard mainstream desktop CPUs (LGA 115x, 1200, etc.).

Assembly Instructions

To ensure maximum durability, this model uses a mechanical fastening system:

  1. Preparation: Print the "Top" and "Bottom" frames.
  2. Hot Inserts: Press three M2 heat-set inserts into the dedicated holes on the Bottom part of the frame.
  3. The Sandwich: Place your CPU inside the bottom frame, then align the Top frame over it.
  4. Final Screw: Insert three M2 screws through the top holes and tighten them into the inserts.
  5. Add the Ring: Attach your favorite keychain ring through the reinforced eyelet.

Hardware required:

  • 2x M2 Heat-set inserts (short version recommended)
  • 2x M2 Screws (4mm or 5mm length)
