A clean and modern 3D printable LED lamp designed to create a soft ambient atmosphere. Perfect for desks, nightstands, or any interior space where you want simple and elegant lighting.

This model has been optimized for reliable printing and consistent results. It is fully compatible with the Bambu Lab LED Lamp Kit 001 and designed for easy, hassle-free assembly.

Updated Design

The shade has been redesigned to improve print quality and eliminate large bridging areas.

  • Side walls remain hollow for light diffusion
  • Top surface is solid (~0.8 mm thickness) for a clean finish
  • Designed to be printed upside down for best surface quality

This improves reliability, reduces deformation, and ensures consistent results.

Print Settings

  • Material: PLA or PETG
  • Layer height: 0.16 mm (recommended)

Infill:

  • Base: 10–15%
  • Shade: 0%
  • Diffuser: 0%

Walls:

  • Base: 3–4 walls
  • Shade: 2–3 walls (adjust based on desired light dimming)
  • Diffuser: 1–2 walls

Bottom Layers (important):

  • Base: 5+
  • Shade: 5 layers (~0.8 mm top surface)
  • Diffuser: 0–2

Top Layers:

  • Base: 5+
  • Shade: 0–2
  • Diffuser: 0–2
  • Supports: Not required

Print Orientation (Important)

The model is designed to be printed upside down:

  • Ensures the cleanest visible surface
  • Eliminates major bridging issues
  • Provides consistent results across prints

Light Tuning

The top thickness affects brightness and diffusion:

  • ~0.8 mm → brighter light, slight LED hotspot may be visible
  • ~1.0–1.2 mm → softer, more diffused light (recommended if hotspot is noticeable)

A subtle hotspot may appear in the inner rounded square area on the top surface.
This is a natural result of the light source and geometry, and often creates a visually pleasing highlight.

Notes

  • No vase mode required
  • Use white or light filament for best light diffusion
  • Dark filament reduces brightness significantly
  • Matte or slightly translucent filament works best

Assembly

  1. Insert the LED module into the base
  2. Route the cable through the back opening
  3. Place the shade and optional diffuser
  4. Connect USB power

Assembly Notes (Magnets)

Magnets are inserted during printing.

  • Magnet size: Ø16 × 5 mm
  • Hole diameter: 16.1 mm (for easy fit)
  • The print profile includes built-in pauses at the correct layers
  • The printer will automatically stop for magnet placement
  • Insert the magnets, then resume printing

Insert magnets carefully to avoid damaging the surrounding print or breaking thin layers.
Ensure correct polarity before inserting and press them in gently.

 

This method guarantees precise positioning and a clean final result.
