Medtrum Nano Travel Box
Print Profile(1)

Description
A handy box to take your prefilled Medtrum Nano patch with you, or store it in the fridge.
When traveling, you can speed up the patch change process when you take a prefilled patch with you.
Also when the environment is not very sterile and suitable for filling, this is a great way to have the prefilled patch with you.
There is a slot for the needle retract tool so you always have it with you.
The upright position is also a very good position for priming, because the cannula is then located at the highest point of the reservoir.
The hole is handy when you are filling your patch. You can place the syringe upright in the hole so that the micro bubbles of air that might have been pulled in during the extraction of air from the reservoir, have time (5-10 minutes, depending on the temperature of the insulin) to gather at the top against the piston.
The gathered air will eventually stay in the tiny cavity at the tip of the syringe after injecting into the reservoir. But of course you are free to clear that last bit of air from the syringe before filling the patch.
Injection of minute volumes of air into the skin is not so much of an issue, as it will be absorbed by the body. However, the expansion of the air due to temperature or pressure changes (ie. flying) might cause an unwanted extra dose of insulin. Therefore it's best to reduce the amount of air in the reservoir to a minimum.
There is a set with colored text and another without. If you want to print the text without color, that is possible also because the text is debossed with 0.3mm depth. So removing the color still gives you the text.
The box has a smoothed shape, so it fits easily in your pocket or a small Insulin bag.
The base is not fully rounded so no supports are needed.
If you have suggestions for improvements, they are always welcome.
