1/64 Scale Pulling Sled – Functional Display Model
This is my first custom design of a 1/64 scale pulling sled, created with both realism and functionality in mind. The model features a working weight-transfer system and articulated front wheels, allowing the sled to simulate real pulling action.
The weight box moves forward, mimicking how a full-size pulling sled increases resistance during a pull. The front tires are designed to move up and down, which helps reset the sled position for the next run—making it ideal for display or light interactive use.
This model is perfect for collectors, diorama builders, or anyone interested in tractor pulling replicas.
Assembly Instructions
Hardware needed:
- 4 × M2 x 10mm screws (for mounting the main tires)
- 4 × M2 nuts (to secure the tires to the body)
- 2 × M2 x 4mm screws (for attaching the small front tires to the axle piece)
- Two small pieces of 1.75mm filament (used as pins to hold the axle to the sled)
- Super glue (for final securing where needed)
Notes:
- Ensure all moving parts remain free before applying glue.
- Do not overtighten screws, as this may restrict movement.
- Light sanding may help improve fit depending on your printer tolerances.
