Description

Turn your EV charging cable into a fake gas pump nozzle — because plugging in at home apparently wasn’t ridiculous enough yet.

This is a decorative 2-part gas pump handle shell for your EV charging cable. Run the cable through the printed body, assemble the two halves, add rubber bands for the moving trigger action, and suddenly your clean modern charging setup looks like it escaped from an old petrol station.

No fuel.
No fumes.
No oil leaks.
No check engine light.
Just pure fake-gas-station nonsense for your EV.

What is it?

This model turns your EV charging cable into a fake gas pump handle, making it look like you are “filling up” your electric car with gasoline.

Obviously, it does not pump fuel.
It does not improve range.
It does not add horsepower.
It does not make V8 noises.

It simply makes your home charging setup much funnier.

And honestly? That is enough.

Why print this?

Because the first time someone sees it plugged into an EV, they will look twice.

This is a stupidly fun garage accessory, driveway conversation piece, and gift for anyone who enjoys EVs, cars, or mildly confusing petrolheads.

Perfect for:

  • EV owners with a sense of humor
  • Home charging setups
  • Garage wallboxes
  • Funny car gifts
  • People who miss the look of gas stations, but not the price
  • Anyone who wants their charger to look absurdly cooler

It gives your EV charger the visual drama of a fuel pump, while your car quietly charges on electricity like a sensible machine from the future.

How it works

The model is printed in 2 main parts.

Assembly is simple:

  1. Print the two shell halves.
  2. Run your EV charging cable through the body.
  3. Assemble the halves around the cable.
  4. Add rubber bands for the moving handle/trigger action.
  5. Plug in your EV and enjoy the fake fueling experience.

That’s it.

No electronics.
No charger modification.
No actual fuel.
No strange fluids on the driveway.
No weekly sacrifice to the oil gods.

Compatibility

This model is designed around European-style EV charging cables for a snug fit.

It may also fit other cable styles, but depending on cable thickness and plug shape, the fit may be a little looser.

Please check the fit before regular use and make sure the accessory does not strain, clamp, kink, block, or interfere with your cable, plug, wallbox, or charging connector.

Features

  • Funny fake gas pump handle for EV charging cables
  • 2-part design for easier printing and assembly
  • Cable runs through the printed shell
  • Rubber bands create a moving trigger/handle feel
  • No electronics required
  • No charger modification needed
  • Great garage, driveway, or wallbox conversation piece
  • Perfect gift for EV owners
  • Makes charging your car look beautifully stupid

Safety note

This is a decorative accessory only.

Do not modify your charger, cable, plug, connector pins, locking mechanism, wallbox, or vehicle charging port. Make sure everything sits freely and safely before use.

Final words

This model exists for one reason:

To make people laugh when they see an EV being “filled up” with absolutely no gasoline involved.

Print it, assemble it, plug in your car, and enjoy the most unnecessary upgrade your charger never asked for.

If you make one, please post a photo. Seeing these out in the wild is half the fun — and ratings, makes, and feedback help a lot. Thanks for checking out my design!

Something went wrong there or is that intended? 😄 can you distribute that across 2 plates please? :)

This is intended to be this way. I thought about it for a long time; on 3 plates there are quite a few supports on the side with the connectors, which significantly increases printing time & filament waste. However, it would of course also look much cleaner. I have now uploaded it as a profile - so you can choose the variant there. I hope everything fits then - I would be happy about pictures of the finished print

Ah, I find it better when it's split though, because if something goes wrong... I also split it myself on the PC into 2 plates, but Bambu Studio always crashed on me when slicing lol, I decided to go with the other grip that you also uploaded here! I'll upload pictures, but only single-color prints... still thanks for going to the trouble, I might print it then too 😄

Doubtful, unless its the same size as the European one (the cable delivered with 3 / Ycar pre-highland / Juniper series)
