Description
This Humidity Dome & Reservoir System turns any standard glass jar into a high-performance propagation chamber. It’s a serious tool for plant parents who want professional results with a clean, desktop-ready look.
The Design
Propagation usually means messy plastic bags or clunky setups. This system uses a three-part design to create a self-regulating micro-climate:
- The Dish: A deep water reservoir to maintain consistent moisture.
- The "Chair": An elevated internal platform that keeps your planter or nursery pot above the water line while maximizing evaporation.
- The Venting: Precision-designed air holes stay above the water line, ensuring your plants get the oxygen they need to breathe while maintaining a high-humidity environment.
Choose Your Style & Fit
I’ve included three distinct texture variations for the water dish in every size, so you can match your home decor:
- Smooth: For a clean, minimalist, modern look.
- Checkered: A bold, geometric pattern that adds some flair.
- Wavy: A fluid, organic texture that looks great next to greenery.
Precision Sizing
Each style is available for the following jar diameters:
- Standard Mason Jar: Fits 70mm outside throat diameters.
- Wide-Mouth Mason Jar: Fits 87mm outside throat diameters.
- The "Cereal Jar" Special: A custom 100mm version for larger setups.

This setup is a game-changer for LECA and semi-hydro enthusiasts. Just fill the dish with water, set your planter on the "chair," and let the dome do the work. The design ensures your roots never drown, but the air stays perfectly saturated.
Printing Tips:
- Material: PETG or ASA is highly recommended for water-tightness and durability in humid conditions.
- Supports: None needed! All parts are designed to be print-in-place friendly.
