This is a fully parametric, customizable fuel dipstick (fuel gauge) designed for general aviation. Whether you fly a Cessna, Piper, or an ultralight, you can easily adapt this tool to your aircraft's specific tank geometry and calibration.

Recommended Print Settings

• Material: DO NOT USE PLA. PLA will degrade and swell when in contact with fuel (AVGAS/MOGAS). Use PETG, PA (Nylon), or Chemical Resistant Filaments.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm or 0.16mm for sharp text.
• Infill: 100% (Solid) to prevent fuel from entering the part and for better weight.
• Top Layers: Use a high number of top layers to ensure the embossed text is solid.
• Color Change: For best readability, perform a filament swap at the emboss_height (standard: last 0.8mm) to make the markings pop.

How to Customize

1. Open the model in MakerWorld MakerLab or OpenSCAD.
2. Input your aircraft's dimensions and tail number.
3. Enter your measured calibration points (distance from bottom to the respective fuel level).
4. Download the STL/3MF and print.
