Description
This is a fully parametric, customizable fuel dipstick (fuel gauge) designed for general aviation. Whether you fly a Cessna, Piper, or an ultralight, you can easily adapt this tool to your aircraft's specific tank geometry and calibration.

Recommended Print Settings
- Material: DO NOT USE PLA. PLA will degrade and swell when in contact with fuel (AVGAS/MOGAS). Use PETG, PA (Nylon), or Chemical Resistant Filaments.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm or 0.16mm for sharp text.
- Infill: 100% (Solid) to prevent fuel from entering the part and for better weight.
- Top Layers: Use a high number of top layers to ensure the embossed text is solid.
- Color Change: For best readability, perform a filament swap at the emboss_height (standard: last 0.8mm) to make the markings pop.
How to Customize
- Open the model in MakerWorld MakerLab or OpenSCAD.
- Input your aircraft's dimensions and tail number.
- Enter your measured calibration points (distance from bottom to the respective fuel level).
- Download the STL/3MF and print.
