Description
The docking station of the Midtronics battery tester CPX900/910 slightly kinks the test cable, which probably led to damage to the cable in our case. I designed an adapter that is compatible with the original CPX-901 docking station and relieves stress on the cable. I also added a recess for 20x5mm magnets for better grip on metallic surfaces.
For assembly, you need to cut out the cable recess area on the CPX-901 docking station and fix the docking station with my adapter using two M4 screws through the screw openings. Then you can optionally glue in the 20x5mm magnets.
In the end, this relieves the cable by several more cm and prevents another cable break. Thanks to the magnets, it also has a stable stand on metallic surfaces, providing additional protection against damage from falling over.
