CUSTOM LETTER LAMP — USER GUIDE

This model generates a custom 3D lamp with:

• A main letter
• An embossed name on the front
• A structural base
• A snap-on diffuser cover

🧠 1. MAIN PARAMETERS

🟦 MAIN TEXT

name = "Maria Julia";

👉 Defines the lamp's name.

• If it has 2 words → automatically splits into two lines
• If it has 1 word → centers

🔤 MAIN LETTER

font_letter = "Fredoka:style=Bold";
letter_height = 80;

Function:

• Defines the initial letter (e.g., M for Maria)
• Controls the size of the main letter

Suggestions:

• 60 → small (decorative)
• 80–100 → ideal standard
• 120+ → large lamp

✍️ NAME (CURSIVE FONT)

font_name_select = "Pacifico";
name_height = 20;

Function:

• Defines the name's font
• Controls the text size

Recommended fonts:

• Pacifico → modern and legible
• Great Vibes → elegant
• Dancing Script → gentle childish
• Alex Brush → sophisticated

🧱 2. LAMP BASE

depth = 30;
wall = 1.5;
base_thickness = 1.5;

What each one does:

• depth → total height of the piece
• wall → outer thickness (structure)
• base_thickness → thickness of the bottom base

Adjustments:

• More resistant → increase wall (2.0+)
• Lighter → reduce (1.2–1.5)

🧩 BASE DETAILS

base_chamfer = 0.4;
inner_radius = 0.6;

• base_chamfer → softens bottom edges
• inner_radius → rounds the interior

🌫️ 3. COVER (DIFFUSER)

diffuser = 0.6;
fit_height = 5;
clearance = 0.25;

Function:

Creates the cover that:

• closes the lamp
• diffuses the light

Parameters:

• diffuser → translucent part thickness
• fit_height → fit height
• clearance → clearance for fitting

⚠️ IMPORTANT ADJUSTMENT

• FDM Printer:
  • 0.20 to 0.30 = ideal fit
• Too low → jams
• Too high → loose

✍️ 4. NAME ON THE FRONT

name_height = 20;

Function:

• Adds the embossed name to the front of the letter
• Automatically positioned below the letter

🔄 5. FINAL ASSEMBLY

✔ Lamp base
✔ Main letter
✔ Name applied to the front
✔ Separate cover for printing

🧪 6. PRINTING TIPS

🖨️ Best configuration:

• White or translucent PLA
• 0.2mm layer
• 15% to 25% infill

💡 Lighting effect:

• Warm white LED (3000K)
• Internal LED strip or illuminated base
