Description

This is the skull mask that Puro is seen wearing in the game Changed. It is as accurate to the in-game appearances as my abilities allowed.

  • Printing vertically and using tree supports produces the best appearance so the layer lines do not disturb the surface. Using the lowest layer height helps the appearance as well especially when printing in a small size. However, feel free to experiment - there is probably a better way to print this.
  • The model is just over an inch tall. I did not take any photos of my print a long time ago, so I am using the photos that Mr_Muffin on Thingiverse kindly allowed me to share. They printed it at a very large scale.

Customization

  • If you want to print it bigger, consider adjusting the thickness of the model by changing the Thickness value in the Solidify modifier in the .blend file I am supplying on Thingiverse, since its current thickness was designed with the very small print size in mind. I cannot upload .blend files to MakerWorld, so you must go to Thingiverse for that.
  • If you don't want to use the .blend file, you can use the providede .obj files instead:
    • There's a completely-flat version of the model without any thickness so you want to do that part yourself without using the blend file.
    • There's a low-poly completely-flat version of the model before subdivision was applied so you can easily adjust the proportions of the model before adding your own subdivision modifier.

Post-Printing

Little rectangles could be inserted in the eye sockets to make it look more alive. You can even design your own sprite-accurate printable model of them.

How I Designed This

I've seen many 3D interpretations of Puro's iconic mask, but they always seemed a little off-model to me. So I went on Spriter's Resource and collected all the in-game appearances of the skull I could find, threw them into Blender, and began modelling it to the same shape.

This model is also on Thingiverse. I am the original author.
