Description

6mm magnet pen.

Created this Magnet pen to help assist placing a million magnets in my Masters Leaderboard design. I spent too much time over-engineering this thing, but am pretty stoked on how it turned out! 100% GLUE FREE design.

Rear cap is a “twist/click” assembly to prevent having to glue it in place incase you need to change out the thumb plunger down the road. Threaded twist tip is also designed to be removable, because why not? Also, the threaded tip is slightly tapered to prevent the magnets and plunger assembly from falling out via gravity. Spring assist utilizing a ballpoint pen spring just feels good! Spring size is approximately 5mm x 20mm.

Included a short version which holds roughly (30) 6x2mm magnets. and a long variant that holds 50ish 6x2 magnets.

I printed mine in PLA and worked like a champ. I'm sure printing in PETG would give this bad boy a longer working life.

Instructions: 1) Screw the tip on. 2) Slide the tiny guy “follower” in from the rear. Circle base oriented towards the tip. This is what pushes your magnets. 3) Drop the spring in. 4) Drop the thumb plunger in with the detent side facing the spring. 5) Insert the rear cap with the lugs aligned with the body's grooves. 6) Turn rear cap counter-clockwise until you feel the click. It will be a very short turn. 7) Load up your magnets and rock n' roll!

Enjoy!
