A highly detailed 3D miniature of the Bloater, the fourth and most dangerous stage of the Cordyceps brain infection from the hit game and series The Last of Us. The model captures this massive, fungus-consumed monster in all its terrifying strength and lumbering pose. The design stands out with its absolutely fantastic rendering of the thick, nearly bulletproof fungal plates that act as natural armor, and the asymmetrical organic growths covering its entire body and face.
This specific print was produced on a Bambu Lab printer using grey PLA. The printer excellently handled the massive amount of curved, organic textures and details of the infection. The grey material perfectly captures shadows and creates an absolutely ideal base for painting—the Bloater is a perfect canvas for playing with layered yellow, orange, and brownish washes to give it that sickly, fungal look. An ultimate piece for fans of Naughty Dog's masterpiece.
