Description

This is an “ammo comb” attachment for the ingenious 22LR Ruger Wrangler Loader Speedloader + Sorter by darioosz.  His original design works great, the problem I was having when trying to load my 120rd 22LR Ammo Box by Layer51 was that the rounds were not being properly held in place and were difficult to line up with the ammo trays.

So I addressed the problem with this comb. It is an attachment that cradles the original design by darioosz, and spaces the rounds out to match the 120 round tray by Layer51. It will probably work with the 112 and 105 capacity trays too, but I only tested it with the 120 round tray because that is what I have.

To use the ammo comb, simply shake out 6-8 rounds with the speedloader, then position the comb under the speedloader, lined up with the original handle ribs. Wiggle it a little until all the rounds pop into place, you'll feel it when it is properly seated. You can also manually pop the rounds into place by rubbing your finger along the comb, they should fall in line. Holding pressure on the comb will keep the rounds in place. When you are ready to load your box, simply line up the rounds with the tray and then release some of the pressure on the comb while running the speedloader in a straight line. The rounds will strip off one by one and nest neatly into their slots in the tray.
