🐝 Asian hornet trap designed for mounting in a box or on a barrel
Designed for series printing: up to 9 traps per build plate! Perfect for outfitting an entire apiary or garden
🔧 Tips & Recommendations
- Recommended filament: PETG or any weather-resistant filament is highly recommended as the trap remains outdoors
- Color: Yellow is recommended to mimic a flower center and attract hornets. White also works if yellow is unavailable
🛢️ Mounting on a Barrel
- Drill a Ø 68 mm hole with a hole saw (the same size as for electrical outlet boxes)
- Position the trap and mark the 4 holes at the 4 corners
- Drill the 4 holes
Two mounting options:
- Option 1: Screw from the inside + lock nut + wing nut
- Option 2: Rivet fastening. Filling and emptying are then done directly through the barrel cap. 👌
