Total Gym 0.5 in steel pipe Olympic weight adapter

Description
This is an adapter for 0.5 in. (21.3mm OD) steel pipe Olympic weight adapter that I created for my Total Gym Fit; also works with Total Gym Evolve. The 0.5 in. schedule 40 steel pipe can be found at HD. Pair this with my Olympic weight plate spacer to protect your pad cushion against the weight plates.
I made the
- center adapter for the bar at 26mm OD and 22mm ID
- outer Olympic weight adapter is 50.4mm OD and 21.85mm ID
- middle stopper is made out of TPU or PETG if you don't have TPU.
Tip: use a thin layer of electrical tape and slide on to get your fitting real tight so it doesn't slip when in use.
First measure the center of your 30-inch length steel pipe, then mark it. Then slide each of the middle bar adapters to the center at your marked line. I made each of them exactly 200mm. *Please note only slide on the Olympic sleeve on one side first, since you need to leave the other side open to slide into your Total Gym sliding bench. Use a thin piece of electrical tape to make your olympic weight adapter snug fit as well.
Use a thin piece of electrical tape or masking tape to make your adapter snug fit to the steel pipe.
At this point, if you print your stopper in PETG, now is a good time to slide that on first before sliding on your Olympic weight adapter. However, if you print the stopper in TPU, they can be slid on later since it's much easier to maneuver due to their flexibility.
*Please note only slide on the Olympic sleeve on one side first, since you need to leave the other side open to slide into your Total Gym sliding bench. Use a thin piece of electrical tape to make your olympic weight adapter snug fit as well.
I've also included a TPU stopper to stop the olympic weight plate adapter sliding into the bar.
