This design takes the classic ammonite fossil shape and gives it a heavy mechanical overhaul. It features a segmented shell detailed with rivets and plating, giving it a rugged, steampunk look. It has long, articulated tentacles that move freely at every joint, making it a great piece to pose on a desk or shelf. I really wanted to capture that industrial, deep-sea explorer vibe with the way the segments fit together. It’s a fun blend of prehistoric nature and retro-futuristic machinery that feels solid and tactile once it's all put together.
--- I test all my models with default Bambu Lab slicer settings: 0.2mm layer height, 10% infill, tree supports. No complex tweaks needed. If a model requires special settings, I include a prepared 3MF file (rare).
