Xing VQ3 Robot Dog Casing Model

VQ3 is an updated version of Xing VQ2, with some adjustments made to the circuit board layout and casing. The key difference from VQ2 is the relocation of the RGB light from the bottom of the belly to the front, allowing it to display lighting effects even when lying down. Other differences include adjustments to layout details and appearance.

Regarding printing: Printing is divided into two plates. One plate is for the main body of the casing, and you can choose any color for it. The other plate is for the translucent parts, and it is recommended to print them using transparent filament. Supports have already been designed. The three buttons on the bottom and the upper casing are print-in-place, requiring high precision for the first layer, so it is recommended to enable bed leveling. A poor first layer print might prevent the buttons from pressing correctly. The long translucent opening at the front is relatively long, which may cause overhang sagging, and usually requires a slight trim with a utility knife after printing.

[The VQ3 and VQ2 casings and circuit boards are not interchangeable. Although the solutions are similar, due to layout adjustments, they cannot be mutually replaced or installed. VQ2 is a fully open-source solution, including motherboard engineering files and all tutorial materials. If you want to solder the board yourself to replicate it, you can choose the VQ2 solution, and the materials can be downloaded for free from my Bilibili store. This VQ3 model file is provided for friends who own a 3D printer. If you purchase the kit, you can print the casing yourself; however, circuit board files are not yet planned for upload.
