Sugar Rocket and Nose Cone

Description
This model is a great way to get into model rockets without having to splash the cash on expensive rocket motors and ignition systems! Each rocket costs under $1 with the fuse and washer included! It takes approximately 10 minutes to assemble each rocket.
Use 35% (3.5 tbsp) Powdered Sugar and 65% (3 tbsp) Potassium Nitrate for best results. SUPPORTS ARE HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
Materials
- Powdered Sugar
- Powdered Potassium Nitrate
- Washer with 3/16 in hole
6mm fuse
1. Make Sugar and Potassium Nitrate Mixture by adding both ingredients into a bowl and mix for 60 seconds (more is always better).
2. Pack Mixture into the side of the rocket with fins on it. Make sure it is VERY tightly packed.
3. Glue a washer with a small hole to the bottom of the Rocket.
4. Drill a hole by hand with a 3/16 in bit.
5. Tap out excess powder and reuse if you want.
6. Stick a fuse 6 in or longer (Longer is better because it gives you more time to back up) into the hole you just drilled.
7. Use a metal rod and slide the rocket onto the rod.
8. Light the fuse and watch it fly up to 1,000 feet in the air!
