Description

NO MORE WARPED PRINTS, OR RAISED CORNERS FROM AUX FAN!!!

I got tired of having to manually adjust my Aux fan on some larger flat parts, so I designed a deflector that doesn't restrict the airflow, it just pushes it to the top of the chamber and not directly on the part. The part snaps in and out easily.

Note it may look like it is sagging down but that is because the aux fan outlet is slightly pointing down. It should look this way.

The 2 thin tabs on the end are more of a guide then a functional part. If they break off, that is ok I didn't want to make them large enough to limit airflow.

Clearances on the X2D are much closer to the print head then on all the other printers so double check to make sure it doesn't touch, if it does, please let me know

IF YOU ARE GOING TO HEAT THE CHAMBER, BE CAREFUL OF THE MATERIAL YOU USE, PLA DEFLECTOR WILL WARP IN THE HOT CHAMBER

.4 nozzle

.16 layer

no supports

no brim

14 minute print

This is the same as my original Aux fan design with the longer dimensions of the X2D. Please give me feedback on how this fit your printer. on the original it was always a matter of the individual printer, one person would say it was too tight and some others said it was too loose. This is either caused by printer variables or actual physical dimensions of the different aux fans.  Thanks for your feedback on this.

Edit the printer's G code for the filament and the fan will stay off

Thats not the point. you want the fan on, you dont want it blowing directly on the part. having the fan is a good thing, sometimes having it blow on the part is good but 95% of the time, it is not needed and sometimes it causes issues. so the deflector is the best solution. anyone can turn their fan off but why not just put something in place to remove the worry. it works perfect and I have had zero issues with warping since designing this and that was probably 40,000 print hours ago.

if I print this in PETG will it work? Or do I need a more heat resistant material?

it will work fine unless you run a heated chamber really hot but even then I think it will be fine

easy to print, and absolutely solved my issue of warping and item coming off the plate. Thanks!

Other Issues:Bed adhesion issues, added supports, hard to remove supports. Model too small - seems like it's for the right side, not the left side. Or not for the X2D.
