Description

Warning: This is very loud and not hearing safe, wear appropiate hearing protection. Make sure the pen tip is clear from debris like loose filament and dirt. Debris in the pen tip may shoot out with the pottential to cause injury. Never point the pen at anyone and wear appropiate eye protection.

This is a spy pen I made that shoots using cap gun caps. Prints in 1hr and uses 8g of filament.

Non-Printed Parts:

-Spring(s) - Anything under 4mm diameter will work. You can stack multiple short springs on top of each other. Springs from pens will work.

-Super glue or a similar adhesive.

Assembly:

  1. Print and remove all supports.
  2. Insert springs into the body, the length of the springs should go all the way from the bottom of the body to the top of the cutout with the pens threads facing upwards.
  3. Push the firing pin into the body compressing the springs. Use super glue to attach the pin into the hole in the firing pin. (This can be tricky, I recommend using a small screwdriver or something to hold back the springs.
  4. Lock the firing pin back into the notch.
  5. Insert a singular cap gun cap cut from a ring into the back of the tip.
  6. Screw the tip onto the body. (If the threads are too loose wrap a small piece of paper or something around them before screwing to increase friction. If the threads are too tight carefully scrape them to remove any debris).
  7. To fire flick the pin out of the notch. (If the caps are not detonating consistently, drill a screw into the end of the firing pin to get better results).
