Description

Boost Me (for free)

🐉This dragon runs on wind
and maybe a boost from you?😉

A lightweight Zephyr Dragon kinetic desk dĂ©cor, designed to spin with a mesmerizing motion—adding a subtle touch of magic to any space.

Inspired by Zephyr—the gentle west wind symbolizing spring, renewal, and new life.

There is two versions in the file, both has a hole under the head so they can spin on the provided holder, the second version has a loop attached to the head so you can hang it outdoors or use it as a bag charm.

3-in-1 design:

  1. Kinetic desk décor
  2. Outdoor hanging wind spinner (hook required),
  3. Keychain bag charm.

Filament Recommendation:

Indoor desk décor: Multicolor PLA (The multi color dragon shown in the images is printed with Ziro Purple Sunset-Matte PLA)

Outdoor wind spinner or bag charm: PETG

Printing:

  1. Use a clean print plate with some glue (unless you are using a super tack plate)
  2. Use dried out filament.
  3. Support is needed. Don't reposition the figures.

Support Removal:

*Will take a little bit longer time to remove the support but should not be too hard. Some patience and gentle movement are needed though.

  1. Let the model cool down before removing the supports.
  2. Use pliers when removing the supports.
  3. Start with breaking the support in the middle with a gentle twist to the side using a plier.
  4. Move to breaking/ loosen up each support limb around the wings, and head.
    1. Gently pull/wiggle the support down following the direction of the wings.
    2. The support is nestled in-between the looped body will take a little bit extra time.
  • Sanding and gentle heating might be needed depending on the choice of filament.

    • If heating, be careful with the wings, particular the base/attachment point of the wings as they can start to sag if heated to long.

Assembly

Insert the holder through the bottom of the looped body, centering it as you push upward until the top aligns with and fits into the hole beneath the dragon’s head.
