Ultra Lightweight Filament Spool – AMS Compatible

🔧 Assembly Instructions

1. Print all parts
   Print the full set of components. Ensure good surface quality on the side plates for proper bonding.
2. Install threaded inserts
   Press or heat-set the threaded inserts into the center hub piece.
3. Prepare the side plates
   Cut paper sheets to match the outer faces of the side plates.
4. Glue the paper layers
   Apply a thin, even layer of glue and attach the paper to the outer sides of both plates.
   Allow it to fully dry before proceeding.
5. Load filament
   Place the filament coil onto the center hub.
6. Final assembly
   Align the side plates with the hub and secure everything using bolts.

⚠️ Notes

• Let the glue fully cure before assembling to avoid deformation or residue transfer.
• Do not overtighten bolts — just enough to hold the spool firmly.
• Ensure the spool rotates freely before placing it in the AMS.
