This set is a simple device for precise rear wheel alignment and reproducible belt tension adjustment.
It uses a continuous M5 threaded rod as a reference axis and defines fixed measuring points on the rear axle and swingarm. This eliminates "guessing" the position – both sides can be compared exactly.
The adapters are screwed onto an M5 threaded rod.
- One side is V-shaped and self-centers on the axle
- The other side has a movable measuring sleeve for fine adjustment
Additionally, there are suitable adapters for:
- Rear axle (left Ø 16.9 mm / right Ø 13.3 mm)
- Swingarm axle (left Ø 8.1 mm / right two-part for Allen key)
Attention: Model was only tested on an FXFBS (Fat-Bob 114), check the axle diameters on your Harley before printing!
Required parts (not printed)
- 1× M5 threaded rod (~600 mm length, M5 mandatory)
- 3× M5 nuts
- 1× M4 x 8 screw (flat head, for two-part right swingarm adapter)
Usage
- Screw the adapters onto the threaded rod as shown in the pictures
- Insert the left/right, front, and rear axle adapters into the axles
- Adjust one side correctly (mind the belt tension)
- Place the measuring rod and position & fix the measuring sleeve accordingly
- Now attach the measuring rod to the opposite side and adjust the alignment so that the same distance is maintained here
- Tighten the axle nut again with the specified torque
The system ensures that the alignment is reproducible and symmetrical.
