Description

Boost Me (for free)

Do you like my designs? Then hit boost, please. This helps me a lot, especially as my recent designs get more complicated and thus expensive to prototype. Boosts help me to afford new prototyping filament and printer replacement parts. Thank you!

This is a wall-mount for RJ45 Keystone Jacks. I came up with this since we had a change of roommates which presented a good opportunity to fix some things up. Our Landlord had put Internet to the rooms by just putting a Cat5e cable through the drywall, without any proper outlet or RJ45 jack. I came across Keystone Jacks, which offer an easy opportunity to convert a regular LAN cable to a proper RJ45 wall outlet.

This model is designed to be put on drywalling with hollow space behind it. There are 4 slots for flat head screws with a thread diameter of 3,5mm and a head diameter of up to 7mm. Cut a slot in your drywall smaller than the Keystone Jack mount, wire up the jack and mount it to the wall. Then slide the cover over it and enjoy your new wall outlet!

Please let me know if you want an additional surface/wall mounted box compatible with this model.

If you like my work and want to support me, please consider boosting or buying me a coffee :)
