Description

When installing an aftermarket ECU, most people go to a speed density tune. This method replaces the original Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor with a different sensor setup that uses a Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and an Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor to measure how much air is entering the engine.

You can use this simple block off plate to cover the original MAF sensor opening. This plate can be installed on the stock air intake or on an aftermarket intake that still has a spot for the MAF sensor. The plate is designed to fit easily because it uses the original O-ring seal size, and it has a curved inner surface that matches the inside shape of the air intake. This helps keep the airflow smooth from the air intake to the turbocharger, which helps maintain the best possible engine performance.

This setup should work with all EJ20 and EJ25 model engine intakes. It's recommended to print the plate using durable plastics like ABS or ASA, as it will be installed inside the engine bay where it can get quite hot.
