Simple solution for using a mouse on the go. Fully parametric design allows you to resize the mousepad area and adjust clip thickness to fit any size laptop.
Two versions for any laptop:
Simple Version
- Single piece design, useful if your laptop has some room on the edge where the mousepad can clip onto without covering anything important
- Parameters to change the width and length of the pad area, thickness to accommodate different laptop sizes, and the top and bottom overlap of the clip portions
Modular Version
- Modular design allows you to print any size top clips and slide them wherever is needed to work around your laptop's keys, buttons, or speakers near its edge
- Print multiple and/or different sized Top Clips to fit any laptop
- Allows for same parametric adjustments as Simple Version, plus parameters for the Top Clip size and Dovetail tolerance (how tight the Top Clips fit into the mousepad)
Tips
- Print both the mouse pad and — for Modular version only — Top Clips on their side. No supports should be needed but for larger sizes, enabling a brim is a good idea.

- For LaptopThickness parameter, be sure to add tolerance. Whatever dimension you enter here is exactly what that height will be.
- Consider using adhesive felt or rubber pads to improve the fit on your laptop (adjust LaptopThickness parameter accordingly to account for the adhesive pads)

- Consider using a more heat resistance filament if your laptop runs hot. I haven't had any issues using PLA with my M1 MacBook but my machine runs pretty cool.
