Description

🏴☠️ Windrose - Captain’s Maquette (Easy-Print Relief)

Product Description:

Bring the world of Windrose to your desk with this high-detail Captain’s Maquette. This model has been specifically engineered for the 3D printing community, focusing on printability without sacrificing aesthetic quality.

By utilizing a relief-style design (flat back), we have eliminated the nightmare of complex support structures. This makes it an ideal project for both beginners and veteran makers who want a clean, fast print.

🛠️ Technical Specifications & Optimization:

  • Support-Friendly Geometry: The flat-back design ensures maximum bed adhesion and significantly reduces the need for supports.
  • Reinforced Structures: Critical areas like the ship's wheel spokes and the pirate's hook have been thickened and merged with the main body to prevent snapping during post-processing.
  • Acrylic Marker Optimized: The textures on the coat, beard, and wooden elements are deeply embossed. This allows acrylic paint markers to flow naturally into the recesses, creating instant "wash" effects and high-contrast shading.
  • Integrated Plinth: Features a sleek, minimalist base with "WINDROSE" engraving for a professional display look.

🖨️ Recommended Print Settings:

  • Layer Height: 0.12mm (Fine) or 0.16mm (Optimal) for capturing facial expressions.
  • Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid recommended for structural integrity).
  • Supports: Minimal Tree Supports are suggested only for the chin and the very bottom edge of the wheel.
  • Material: PLA works best. Use light grey or white if you intend to paint it.

🎨 Painting Guide:

The featured model was finished using Acrylic Paint Markers.

  1. Base Coat: Apply your primary colors (Teal for the coat, Tan for the trousers).
  2. Detailing: Use a fine-tip black marker to "fill" the engraved text on the base.
  3. Finish: The smooth brown base creates a clean silhouette, allowing the character to pop.
