Solstice Solar MPPT Monitor Enclosure
Solstice is the solar monitoring module in the TrailCurrent Software Defined Vehicle platform. It watches your solar charge controller and battery pack in real time, feeds the data onto your rig's local network, and keeps working when the cell signal doesn't.
What it does
If you run solar on an RV, van, trailer, boat, or off-grid build, Solstice gives you a clean view of what the panels and batteries are actually doing. State of charge, power in, voltage, current. Visible on any device on your local network, and logged locally so you own the history.
What you're printing
This profile is the 3D-printed enclosure for the Solstice module. It houses an ESP32-based board that interfaces with common MPPT controllers and reports values over the vehicle's data bus. The print includes a base and a cover with integrated mounting tabs and cable pass-throughs.
Recommended material
ABS. Solstice is intended for interior mounting near the charge controller, fuse block, or power panel, so the enclosure does not need UV resistance. ABS gives the temperature tolerance and toughness this kind of install calls for. PLA and PETG are not suitable for this part.

About the electronics
Solstice is part of an open-source project. The PCB design, firmware, and documentation are published under permissive licenses by the TrailCurrent open-source organization. You source or build the board from the published design and flash the firmware yourself. This Makerworld profile covers only the printed enclosure, so the electronics, wiring, and firmware are separate from this download.
Safety
This enclosure is part of a live DC power monitoring system. Wiring solar panels, batteries, and charge controllers involves voltages and currents that can cause electric shock, arc flash, burns, or fire if done incorrectly. Installation should follow your controller's manual, local electrical code, and sound practice. Do not modify the printed parts in ways that reduce clearance between live conductors and the enclosure walls, or that compromise strain relief on the cable pass-throughs.
