Parametric OWB Holster for Handguns using TLR-1

Description

AuxArc Presents a Safariland or Tek Lok Patterned OWB Holster for handgun equipped with a Streamlight TLR-1 or the Harbor Freight Braun light.  

  This is a Universal Parametric OWB Holster designed around the Streamlight TLR-1 and Harbor Freight Braun Weapon Mounted Light.  The body of the light is where the retention is at, allowing you customize the rest of the holster to conform to the measurements of your gun.  You can either build a holster than can run anything you own, provided the light is attached, or you can build a custom holster for each handgun.  However you want to do it.  

  The most requested changes outside of basic length and width measurements are 1) The option of Standard vs. Metric hardware, and 

 2) The ability to switch between TEK LOK and Safariland mounting patterns.  Both of these options are now available.  The metric can be customized using the “Nut Width” variable which defaults at 8.75mm, which is equal to #8-32.

  There are also minimums and maximums built into the options to protect the model itself.  Such as, the minimum barrel length is 4.25".  You can run a shorter gun in there as long as it can mount the light, but for the integrity of the holster, that was as short as I would let it go.  For measuring instructions, you can view the following video where I also show testing of this holster, and how to set up new print profiles for it.

  I've attached two different parametric files, a right hand and a left hand.  I've also attached 10 different holsters in my 3mf file to choose from, 5 right, 5 left, in my default configurations with a few changes.

  I have also attached the STEP files for all of those above ones for further tweaking if desired.

  To assemble, use #8-32 hardware, (unless you selected metric).  Lengths will vary depending on what you are mounting the holster to, but generally, the mounting screws are ¾" and the tension screw is 1".  The holster is designed for you to be able to press the appropriate nut into the recess, and be held there.  You will need:

3x regular #8-32 nuts

1x nylock #8-32 nut.  This is for the tension.

3x ¾" #8-32 screws, either hex, button head, whatever.  This depends on what you are attaching to.  

1x martini or button head 1" #8-32 screw.  This is for the tension.

  To assemble, press the 3 regular nuts into the recesses inside the holster.  You can then use the 3 screws to attach the holster to whatever.  Be sure that the lengths are correct, so that the threads of the screws are not extending into the holster and inhibiting your gun or scratching it.  Take the remaining nylock nut and martini screw.  Press the nut into the hex recess of the tensioner and thread the screw in.  It's best for you to place the unloaded handgun and light into the holster and tension until desired tightness is achieved.

4/25/26 UPDATE:  User requested the maximum on slide height adjusted for a specific 1911 frame.  An additional .3" has been added to that limit.
