3D Miniature of PNC Park

Model Information:

The stadium in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is home to the Pittsburgh Pirates ("The Bucs") and is stunningly beautiful, located right on the banks of the Allegheny River.

  • The Skyline and the River: This is the main reason why the stadium is world-famous. The entire outfield is kept low or completely open to offer fans in the stands an unobstructed, gigantic view of the Downtown Pittsburgh skyline and the directly adjacent Allegheny River. For a diorama, this backdrop is an absolute dream.
  • Roberto Clemente Bridge: Directly behind center field, this historic, bright yellow suspension bridge spans the river. On game days, it is closed to cars so fans can walk directly from the city center to the stadium. A model of PNC Park is almost incomplete without a part of this distinctive yellow bridge!
  • The Rotunda: In the left corner of the stadium (Left Field), there is a distinctive, spiral ramp structure (Rotunda) that allows fans to change levels. In 3D printing, this round, open staircase is a fantastic detail.
  • Kasota Limestone and Steel: The architecture honors Pittsburgh's industrial past. The stadium features exposed blue steel (in contrast to the yellow of the bridges) and a light-colored facade of Kasota limestone, giving the stadium a very warm, noble appearance.
  • Compact and Intimate: It is one of the smallest stadiums in MLB (only two main seating tiers) and brings fans incredibly close to the action. The highest seat is only about 26 meters from the playing field.
