Encased Tile Trackers for Dementia

Welcome to CoolAuntsWorkshop! I'm a real person making really cool models using programs like FreeCAD and Inkscape. Everything here was designed with enthusiasm and care by me. The occasional groan of frustration may have been involved but AI never will be! 

My mom died of dementia so this project is close to my heart. I know the fear of losing track of a vulnerable person you love.

Tile trackers are Bluetooth based and do not have the same range as an active tracking system. However active trackers are expensive and hard to keep charged. The idea behind these models is to make Tile trackers a feasible if imperfect alternative by encasing them in the plastic. This makes them waterproof so they can be worn at all times and much harder to damage. I can stand on each of these without so much as a creak from the plastic. Three of these models can be worn as pendants 24/7 and the other two are intended to be attached to shoelaces. My testing shows the trackers survive the heat of printing just fine, the plastic does not seem to impact the useful range, and the music when activated is still quite audible.

It is imperative to activate the tracker before printing since buttons will be inaccessible after printing and to pause the print at the appropriate time so you can add the tracker to the void inside. I also highly recommend using glue to secure the tracker to prevent rattling.
