Zhuang Embroidered Ball

The design inspiration for the Zhuang embroidered ball comes from a traditional Zhuang token of love. The geometric patterns on the ball are derived from classic motifs of Zhuang brocade, embodying the aesthetics and emotional sustenance passed down through generations in the Zhuang region. The descending tassels continue the traditional embroidered ball's design concept of 'expressing thoughts through decoration,' condensing the romantic narrative of Zhuang brocade into a harmonious form.

Zhuang Brocade Embroidered Ball Assembly

Assembly tools required: craft knife (or scraper), glue, 0.6mm nylon cord (Maker Starter Pack included), lighter, scissors, tweezers (or pliers), threading needle.

1. Heat bend the "Zhuang brocade embroidery pieces." Use the build plate to adjust the temperature to the material's softening point. Once the "Zhuang brocade embroidery pieces" soften, attach them to the "embroidered ball petals" and let cool, then set aside.

   (Material softening temperatures: PLA approx. 60℃, ABS 70-105℃, PETG approx. 82℃)

   

2. After adhering the "Zhuang brocade embroidery pieces" to the "embroidered ball petals," join them with the "ball core."

   

3. Adhere the "silver bell calyx" and the "crown calyx" together.

   

4. Thread and tie the "silver beads" to the "crown calyx." Use a lighter to singe the "nylon cord" to make threading easier.

   

5. Cut open the "ring" at the joint and link it with the "silver teardrop pendant" (8 pieces needed for one silver pendant, total 5 silver pendants).

   

6. Cut open both ends of the "pull ring" at the joints and link them with the "silver cone pendant" (8 pieces needed for one silver pendant, total 5 silver pendants).

   

7. Link the "silver bell calyx" with the "silver cone pendants" and "silver teardrop pendants," alternating between "silver cone pendants" and "silver teardrop pendants." note: the flat side faces inwards (A total of 5 silver pendants need to be assembled).

   

8. Adhere the "embroidered ball" with the "silver pendants" and "hanging rope" together.

   

Silk filament is best for the pendants. The colors of the Zhuang brocade embroidery pieces can be matched as desired.
