CH224A to DC12V Enclosure
Print Profile(1)

Description
Using the CH224A fast charging protocol chip to convert to DC 12V, it can be used with mobile phone chargers or power banks to power small DIY projects
According to the chip manufacturer's datasheet, the circuit uses level configuration to request voltage, fixed at 12V output, suitable for projects like our mini laser engravers and mini writing machines
[According to the manufacturer's manual: CH224A is a protocol power receiver chip that supports PD3.2 EPR, AVS, PPS, SPR protocol handshake, BC1.2, and other boost fast charging protocol inputs] It is not specified whether it supports QC protocol. If anyone has a QC fast charger, you can verify it. My PD fast chargers and power banks all work normally. If you're interested, you can also check the manufacturer's manual
Similar fast charging modules are sold online. The reason I designed my own board is to easily fix the DC male connector. You can solder it directly onto the circuit board like a plug-in component. The negative iron shell can be connected by flying a tin wire, making it very secure. If the handshake protocol is successful, the indicator light will turn on. I designed a small case and uploaded it to my MakerWorld account. If you have a 3D printer, you can print a case and put it on. Add a little super glue to the case seams to secure it. If you don't have a printer, it can also be used bare after soldering. I didn't round the corners of the circuit board; those who plan to use it bare can round the corners themselves
Cost within 5 yuan. See the PCB file for a complete list of materials. Here's a rough list: one circuit board (Lichuang offers free prototyping), one TYPE-C 16P horizontal mount female connector (0.5 yuan), one CH224A chip (2.5 yuan), one 0603 package 1uf capacitor, one 10k resistor, and one LED light each. DC5525 or 5521 fork-type male connectors, 5 pieces for 2 yuan with free shipping, single cost within 5 yuan. The attached picture shows the DC connectors I bought; you can also search for them yourself
