🌪️ Twisted Helix Vortex – Kinetic Wind Spinner

Add motion and style to your space!

This elegant helix wind spinner creates a mesmerizing, flowing rotation that continuously changes its shape depending on the wind.

🆕 NEW: Daisy-Chain Version! By popular demand, I’ve added a chainable version! It features a support-free bottom ridge and a rounded pocket, allowing you to easily link multiple spinners together into a spectacular vertical chain.

✨ Features

🌀 Twisted helix design for a striking 3D effect
🌬️ Smooth kinetic motion – spins effortlessly in the wind
🧩 Clean geometry – optimized for reliable 3D printing
🏡 Perfect for garden, balcony, window, or indoor decoration
🎨 Looks amazing with silk or dual-color filament

🛠️ Print Information

⏱️ Fast print time
⚙️ No supports required
🧱 Strong and stable structure
🎨 Best results with silk or dual-color filament

⚠️ Important Print Note

Due to the thin blade geometry and the small contact area with the build plate, this model can be sensitive to bed adhesion, especially because of its height.

For best results:

  • Fan: ~60–70%
  • Nozzle temperature: +5–10°C
  • Slower outer walls (30–50 mm/s)
  • Use a 3D printing adhesive (3D print glue / bed adhesive) for improved first-layer grip

👉 I highly recommend using a 3D print adhesive, as the model has a relatively small anchor point combined with a tall structure. This greatly reduces the risk of the print detaching from the build plate during printing.

These settings significantly improve layer bonding, print stability, and help prevent print failures or breakage.

💪 Available Versions

Standard Version – elegant thin blades
Small – 100% infill (reinforced)
Rounded – improved durability
Optimized Smooth V3 – best print reliability

👉 If you experience breakage, try one of the reinforced versions.

💡 Tip

Hang it freely with enough space around it to allow smooth and continuous rotation for the best visual effect.
