Description

Tiny Waterbear: Macro Detail Companion

The world’s toughest micro-organism is ready to inhabit your desk. This model is specifically engineered to push the limits of detail, whether you are a precision enthusiast or a standard user.

📷 Note: The gallery photos show a print done with a standard 0.4mm nozzle. Yes, the detail is that good.

This is not a toy! it is not suitable for children (figurine is 2cm long) choking hazard!

🔬 Choose Your Level of Detail:

  • The Perfectionist (0.2mm Nozzle): For those who want microscopic accuracy. This will render the snout and eyes with surgical precision.
  • The Practical Maker (0.4mm Nozzle): Fully supported and optimized. You get incredible results without swapping hardware.

🛠️ Printing Secrets for Success:

To achieve the look in the photos, I highly recommend using Variable Layer Height

Key Settings:

  • Supports: Required (Minimal). Use Tree Supports (Auto). They are thin and pop right off with tweezers.
  • Wall Loops: 3 (crucial for the strength of those tiny legs).
  • Speed: Drop your Outer Wall speed to 40-60 mm/s for the cleanest surface finish.

💡 Why print this?

  • Scale Test: Can your printer handle micro-geometry?
  • Desk Pet: Small enough to fit anywhere, tough enough to "survive" your workspace.
  • Fidget Friendly: The organic ridges of the tardigrade body provide a great tactile feel.

Show your results! If you printed this with a 0.2mm nozzle, I want to see those macro shots. If you used 0.4mm, post your "fingertip" scale photo like mine!
