Print Profile(5)

Description
UPDATE (2026.04.21): Poop chute added as separate print, and a version with longer drawers and no poop-chute function has been added.
UPDATE (2026.04.23): Mount for TPU feed assist added - 2026.04.26: Temporarily removed for redesign!
This is a modular sidecar accessory box that I designed for the H series printers. Due to size constraints, this print is only compatible with H2S and H2D printers (poop drawer is longer than the others, and I think with the handle, it is longer than the print area of the C.
I added a profile for H2C, where the poop drawer is modified to have it's handle piece printed separately. You will need to glue the handle onto the drawer.
WARNING! MAKE SURE TO HAVE SUPPORTS ON FOR THE MAIN BODY (otherwise the entry for the poop-chute will not print correctly)
To achieve the same brushed metal look, use silver PLA, and print all parts as in the project layout. (I used white basic PLA for the box and drawer internals as that is what I had a lot of, with the exception of the poop drawer)
Items needed for assembly:
- 2x small screws to lock the top piece to the box (holes are approx 2.8mm when printed, so a standard M3 screw will work fine)
Good quality glue (I use Loctite) to attach the 3.5mm tall piece of front panel below the bottom drawer
Since the main box part is pretty big, to save filament, it is set as a single-wall print, if this annoys you, or feel it is too transparent (you can see the infill patterns slightly if it's printed in white PLA), just switch it to double wall, but be warned, even with single wall it's near a full roll of filament. Leaving it as a single-wall is not an issue, as the surfaces susceptible to impact are covered by other pieces.
Current functions:
- The bottom drawer was designed as a poop container, with a 4cm wide opening on the rear right of the main box for poop-chute entry
- Directly above, a thinner drawer was made for containing the external spool holder and PTFE tubes
- The top two drawers are deeper, I use them for small tools and lint-free wipes
- The very top piece included in the design was made to seat two AMS HT units snugly, with the outline of the box following the contour of the AMS HT. Breathing throughs designed to allow airflow to the vents of the AMS.
- Accessory slot built into the box right behind the top piece, to allow custom expansions (a TPU Feed Assist holder that can be locked in here is going to be one of them)
- Sideways expandability is prepared for locking multiple boxes together (or adding other custom expansions)
Coming soon:
- TPU Feed Assist module mount for the accessory slot
- Printing plate holder sidecar
- Rightside sidecar accessory to lock the unit to the printer's side
- A second version of the top piece to hold an AMS HT and a Space Pi dryer.
- Inserts for nozzles and other accessories.
WARNING:
- The drawers' walls are not made to hold -heavy- things, as my main incentive was to have a holder for wipes and other light accessories.
- You may want to choose a material other than PLA for the poop drawer if you are working with high temp filaments.
- Do note, this is the first bigger piece I designed, so any suggestions for modifications are welcome.
- Because of the size of the items, you should definitely run bed leveling before printing, to avoid any non-straight lines
