Description

IKEA Franklin Stool - Reinforced Replacement Foot (Core-Bolt Support)

Is your IKEA Franklin stool feet broken or missing? This replacement is designed for a precise friction fit and features a reinforced core to handle daily stress without breaking.

While the foot slides securely onto the leg, it includes an internal channel for an M4 bolt that acts as a structural "spine," significantly increasing the part's durability.

Features

  • Precision Friction Fit: Sized for a snug, no-wobble attachment to the stool's metal tubing.
  • Core Reinforcement: A vertical M4 bolt reinforces the internal core, ensuring the foot remains solid even under heavy loads.
  • Easy Removal Grooves: Features dedicated slots for a flathead screwdriver. If you ever need to swap them out, just insert the driver and twist—the foot pops right off without a fight.
  • Print in place: Print in place with minimal supports. Install bolt and nut after print.

Hardware Required

To complete the reinforcement, you will need:

  • 1x M4 Nut (fits into the internal slot)
  • 1x M4 Bolt/Screw: Minimum length of 20mm is required to reach the nut and provide proper core support.

Installation Instructions

  1. Prep: Insert the M4 nut into the designated internal slot.
  2. Reinforce: Thread the M4 bolt (min 20mm) through the bottom hole into the nut. Tighten until snug to lock the core reinforcement in place.
  3. Mount: Slide the foot onto the stool leg (friction fit).

Removal: If you need to remove the foot for any reason, simply insert the flathead screwdriver in to the integrated side grooves and twist.
