Description
Top Vertical Mount for TPU - A1 mini
Have you ever tried printing TPU with the original PTFE tubes? A nightmare of friction, tangles, and failures. Here is the definitive solution!
Why is it different from others?
Unlike other unstable or heavy models, this mount has been engineered to be as efficient as possible:
- Optimized for TPU: By positioning the spool above the extruder, the filament drops straight down without needing to be inserted into PTFE tubes
- Lightweight but indestructible: about 33g of material! It uses the original spool holder to ensure optimal stability. It also uses a 4-screw fastening system - leveraging existing screws - for superior hold and long-term durability
- Millimeter-perfect quick attachment: the spool holder attaches to a slide identical to the one provided, ensuring optimal hold and quick release when you finish printing
Assembly instructions
- Unclip the upper gray plate by unscrewing the screw circled in red

2. Unclip the white plate by unscrewing the 3 screws circled in red

3. Mount the new plate using the 4 screws you just removed
CAUTION: do not overtighten the center screw (the one you removed in the first step)
The result should be as follows:

4. Attach the spool holder that comes with the printer

Please note:
- I recommend printing the project in PETG! This will ensure better robustness;
- on the spool holder in the photo, a mod is installed to reduce friction during printing and allow for better spool rotation. You can print it from the following link: https://makerworld.com/en/models/565215-low-friction-adjustable-spool-holder-for-a1-mini#profileId-484809
Now you are ready to start printing!
