Description
Meet the Mini Claw Machine, a tiny 3D printed claw toy designed to be built in just two pieces: the main structure with the claws and internal spring, plus the rod that connects everything and makes it work. Once assembled, simply push the rod toward the body and the spring inside will open the claws automatically. The rod includes a small ring, so you can hang it wherever you want and carry it as a fun everyday keychain. Lightweight, compact, and satisfying to use, it is a playful mini mechanism with a clever opening action.
Why You’ll Love It
- Two-piece design: simple assembly with the main body and the rod.
- Spring-action mechanism: pushing the rod opens the claws automatically.
- Keychain-ready: the built-in ring makes it easy to hang anywhere.
- Compact and lightweight: total weight stays under 25 g.
- Print-in-place style: clean, clever, and fun to print.
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL DETAILS
- Total weight: under 25 g.
- Assembly: 2 pieces, body plus rod.
- Tolerances: 0.25 mm for the rod-spring and rod-claw-base fits.
- Recommended materials: PLA and PETG.
- PLA Silk note: not ideal, because it may make the spring weaker.
- Use note: this is a keychain, and unless printed in PETG or other stronger materials, it is not suitable for carrying heavy loads.
- Brim suggestion: use a brim for the claw-linking arms to improve first-layer stability.
- Print time: around 2 hours, depending on slicer settings and printer speed, but it can vary.
