Description

In MakerWorld, there is a muscular sports guy.

He is proficient in basketball, soccer, weightlifting, and League of Legends. It is said that the X2D tool head was designed based on the shape of his biceps.

The image below shows his athletic talent:

Among all sports, his favorite is cycling. No matter how far work is, no matter how late he gets off, as long as he puts on his cycling helmet, he has only one belief: Ride or Die!

He is Mario, the Bicycle Knight, or rather, the Lord of Bicycle.

Now he has joined the battle, assisting everyone in fighting against the Overlord of MakerWorld ⚔️!

----

This is a new work of my series —— ⌈MakerWorld Heroes⌋ . A light mechanical style armor —— X Armor.

The protagonist this time is Mario, one of the Lords in MakerWorld, who rules over half of the world. He arrives with two new weapons and X2D😆.

-------------------- X Armor --------------------

  • The full set of armor consists of 10 parts, designed based on the X2D print volume. Compatible with A1 and above. See the table below for time and filament consumption (based on PETG-HF):

  • The overall proportions are based on a height of 180 cm. Only 6_Forearm and 9_Lower Leg reach the limit of the 256mm print volume, the other parts still have varying degrees of room for enlargement. Scaling factor = (Your actual height) ÷ 180.
  • STP templates for the logos on the ear and chest have been uploaded for customization.
  • The image below indicates the size limits for the helmet, upper arm, forearm, thigh and lower leg at the default scale. The other parts have no size limits:

About Print Profile:

  • All profiles are pre-supported and can be printed directly.
  • All pieces have passed the non-glued plate test. However, it is recommended to glue the plate to increase stability, as the printing time is quite long.
  • Default infill is 3%, which provides sufficient strength. You can increase it based on preference, but I suggest not to exceed 10% to avoid excessive weight. Both PLA and PETG can be finished with no significant difference, but PETG is recommended for durability considerations.
  • Some parts are single-sided in the profiles, just print them twice, mirroring is not necessary.
  • The upper arm, thigh, and strap covers are available in two versions in the profile: TPU for AMS and PETG. It is recommended to use Bambu Lab's TPU for AMS, as it prints quickly, requires no other support filament, and has sufficient flexibility.

About Assembly & Wearing:

  • See the attached Wearing Guide for details. There is more than one way to wear it, adjust according to your own situation.
  • When assembling, some parts may need glue as needed to ensure they don't come loose.
  • Due to the many enclosed sections in this armor, Velcro is needed in some places to assist with fastening, as explained in the guide.
  • All lighting effects on the armor are optional. However, the magnetic parts in the following three locations are almost mandatory; otherwise, wearing the armor will be significantly more difficult:
  • ① The magnetic switches on both sides of the helmet and the magnet in the center. Without these, the helmet cannot be put on conveniently or securely.② The gray magnetic cover on the bottom of the forearm can be removed and replaced with a cannon or sword.③ When putting on the lower leg part, the magnetic cover on the back needs to be removed to access and adjust the straps inside.
  • The table below shows the quantity of Maker's Supply parts needed for the full set of armor:

  • The table below shows the recommended third-party parts, which are optional:

Elastic straps with iron rings,

Long (approximately equal to your waist circumference) x1,

Short (30–40 cm) x10

18650 battery with PH2.0 connector

(1 battery each for the helmet, chest and back)

Replaces the small battery in the power kit

PH2.0 female to ZH1.5 male adapter cable

(1 cable each for the helmet, chest and back)

Connects the large battery on the left to the power kit's main board

About Color:

  • Color references have been pre-set in all profiles.
  • My color: PETG-HF White, PETG-HF Dark Gray, TPU for AMS Gray, PETG-Translucent Purple, PETG-Translucent Orange.
  • The color in X2D promotion: PLA-Silk+ Silver, PLA-Silk+ Gray, PLA-Translucent Purple, PLA-Translucent Orange.
  • Note: If you use white as the primary color like I did, apply some black tape to the light strip mounting areas before installing the light strips. Otherwise, the light will shine through the infill inside the white material, which will affect the appearance.

-------------------- X Cannon & X Laser --------------------

  • The two weapons share the same handle and can be built using 1 sound light kit.
  • The blade is approximately 90 cm in length.
  • Can be connected to the forearm by magnetic attachments.

About Assembly:

  • Refer to the attached assembly guide for details. Both weapons can be assembled without glue, allowing for convenient disassembly and part replacement.
  • The LED light strip of the blade has an extra 10 cm around the handle, which does not affect functionality.
  • The table below shows the quantity of Maker's Supply parts needed for each weapon:
  • Sound Light Kit

    ZC010 x1

    RGB LED

    KA010 x2

    Magnet d20 3mm
